President of a cappella group, the Olin PowerChords

I was the president of the Olin College PowerChords a cappella group between fall 2013 and fall 2015. As president, I was responsible for planning events, budgeting, public relations/image, and other related tasks. The group of 15 members formally performed at least six new songs at the end of each semester. As president, I envisioned and organized two additional concerts: a fall outdoor concert in Boston and a spring gag teaser concert. I gained experience the year prior as business manager.

As president, I learned a fair bit about mediating, organizing and publicizing large events, and developing community within a group.
