I am an empathetic artist-engineer with a passion for experiential design and soft-goods currently residing in Portland, OR. I am a technical craftsperson who enjoys creating immersive and exchange-prompting objects and experiences. I create physical artifacts and experiences that enable people to connect with each other, their environments, and ideas. I search for lessons in each experience and seek to empower others through my work and my personal interactions. I feel comfortable exploring, probing, and questioning grey areas. I enjoy the flexible yet predictable character of fabric, plastics, fluids, and electricity. I am constantly playing with ideas of femininity and masculinity and the connection between construction of self and one's body or environment.
In my time at Olin College, I was able to build a working prototype of a direct injection system, lead a musical group, create a wearable and dynamic sculpture, and write a paper regarding the intersection of social justice, anthropology, business and fashion. |
